Catching Up with Council – January 10, 2023

The newly elected Faith Council met for a 3-hour retreat on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The first part of our time was spent getting to know each other better, talking about why it’s important for each of us to be a member of Faith, and sharing prayer concerns.  It was exciting to build a foundation for the year ahead and our interactions as a group.

 

The business for the day included:

• Election of officers for 2023
  • President – Mike Sosnoski
  • Vice President – Larry Tietje
  • Secretary – Jennifer Tolzmann
  • Treasurer – Joe Mollner
  • Members at large – Kylie Osterbauer, Jill Christenson, Dave Fleming, Steve Schultz
• Discussions about the work/responsibilities of the Council and planning for the upcoming budget proposal
• Pre-planning for upcoming strategic planning work
• Plans for the upcoming Congregational meeting to be held on January 22, 2023
  • On January 15 preliminary budget information will be available to all interested members
  • A brief information session will be offered at 10 a.m. in the chapel for those with questions

 

Faith is an active, awesome community! We give thanks for the incredible planning and experiences that brought the Advent and Christmas season to life. Thank you to our staff, musicians, decorators, and all volunteers for creating beauty and meaning for all.

 

The Council regularly meets the second Tuesday of the month, from 6:30 to 8:30. Feel free to contact any Council members with celebrations or concerns.
