First Communion

Eighteen 5th graders took part in their First Communion on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021. To highlight the specialness of the moment, the kids made chalice for the special event. Communion is a sacred meal in which Jesus comes to us in the bread and wine.  The children heard these familiar phrases: “This is my body given for you” and “This is my blood shed for you”.   We believe these words to be true-that Christ is truly present in the bread and wine to meet and strengthen all believers.

Maundy Thursday

We commemorated the second Holy Week during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services were live-streamed.  Below is the link to the Maundy Thursday worship as we remember where Jesus meets with his friends sharing bread and wine. 

 

Prayer Labyrinth

Holy Week was enhanced by the prayer labyrinth set up in the church narthex.  What was it like to experience the labyrinth?  Well, a special video was made to give people a taste.  

Finally, we give a prayer of thanks and gratitude for the staff and volunteers at Faith who poured their hearts into providing meaningful communications, education opportunities, worship events, and services for the Faith community across the country. We are so thankful for their efforts to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, making the Word accessible to all, is appreciated and respected! Thanks be to God, for blessing the ministries of Faith Lutheran Church and the hands and feet of those who carry out those ministries! Amen!
