Sacred Settlement Survey

Our mission as a Development Team is to make sure that we are engaging in activities to fight homelessness that are in line with the congregation. If you can take ten minutes to complete a survey, either online (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfTf50OMWqmCj4CERDstV33yMgC-qCbtod6QFhw8jTmWaCgwA/viewform?usp=sf_link) or by completing one of the paper copies in the church office, it will help inform our next steps in this process. Save the Date:  Blessing the Build Event on October 7

On Wednesday, October 7 Settled and Woodland Hills are hosting a COVID-safe gathering to bless the three tiny homes that will be in the middle of construction. We'll write messages of encouragement and love on the structure of the homes, and anoint them with oil and prayer. These homes have the capacity to turn lives around, but sacred settlements also need the power of God to be successful! Please bring a mask and join us October 7 from 6-7pm on the north end of the Woodland Hills Church parking lot (1740 Van Dyke Street in St. Paul). 

Come Build Tiny Homes! Volunteers Needed

Construction crews are being assembled by Settled to actually build the tiny homes, but they have other needs during the work weeks too! If you can help with food, errands, cleaning and random helper-tasks on this COVID-safe job site any day between October 8-19, sign up here by October 5! They’re asking volunteers from several partner churches, so the slots may fill up quickly. The Faith-specific liability waiver can be found here: https://forms.gle/a5e2QyzKwks7a45N8

For those of you inexperienced builders that would still like to help the build, we still need your help in supporting the build in various other roles. Feed the Team: We’ll have 20-25 build team members that will be blessed by a commercially made, individually packaged lunch and learning time from 12-1pm each day. Sign up to help feed or serve them! Helper: There is always something to do around the build site! The helper role is for someone with a servant heart to fill in the gaps - run errands, clean, assemble, etc. (1-2 people per build per day) Prayer: Come to the building site to pray over the team, pray for those who will live in the homes, pray over the future Sacred Settlement, pray for every step toward seeing our homeless neighbors welcomed home, for the Glory of God!
