Faith Ministry Stories

Take the Faith Lutheran Congregational Vitality Assessment

Posted by Pastor John Klawiter on

The last two weeks, I’ve referenced our mission and vision statements in my sermons. It is important to remember what we are doing as a church and what guides our decision-making process. These statements, adopted during our annual meeting January 27, 2019, help articulate our purpose.

Our council recently agreed to join a cohort of local churches called “Liberating Structures” to explore, intentionally, where we are being called next. One way to do this is by asking a broad representative group of the church—our goal is 75-100 people across age and involvement—to take a Congregational Vitality Assessment. We aren’t putting this link in the weekly email—you have been personally identified and invited to participate. Please take 10-20 minutes to answer the questions by Tuesday, August 10th. You might not know all the answers—that’s ok! Do your best to answer as you think the church functions. We will see, cumulatively, where we land and what opportunities we have moving forward this fall.

Also, Rev. Justin Grimm preached last Sunday, August 1st to help us understand how we’re being led by the Spirit to share God’s grace in this unique time. You can watch the sermon online by viewing the August 1 Traditional Worship service on YouTube.

But now, it’s on to the survey!

MISSION: Led by the Spirit to share God's grace.

VISION:  Be the body of Christ: welcoming all, inspired by God, and sent out to live our Faith

Thank you, so much, for taking the time to do this. I can't wait to see what God is up to with our church and I'm so grateful that you are part of this ministry with me and Faith!

 Peace, Pastor John
