FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH MISSION GRANT
There are many mission and ministry opportunities available at Faith. Former member, Dorothy Clingman was a simple working woman who left all she had when she died to Faith Lutheran Church and now we have an opportunity to use part of this estate to serve others in our community. Imagine the impact her gift has made, giving us the opportunity to go outside of our walls, into our communities and outreach to others showing love and concern for our neighbors.
Dorothy was a long time member of Faith who valued her Faith in God as her life’s priority. The money from her estate was used to pay down our church mortgage, refinance our loan to lower our interest rates and a little over $15,000 was made available, through a mission grant, for serving others locally, within our state, and internationally.
This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in God’s work by proposing a project to serve others and to honor Dorothy’s legacy. All ages are welcome to apply. Think of something that would benefit others and tell us about it on the attached proposal. Applications for amounts of $100 to $15,000 will be accepted. By submitting a grant you will also have the unique opportunity of taking part in deciding how the money will be distributed. Remember we are all children of God and this is one way we can honor our legacy here at Faith. The more applications we receive the better.
