Sometimes the subject of “God’s sense of humor” is a joke in itself. Like, “That sound you hear while you make plans for your life is the sound of God laughing.” Or, “Of course God’s got a sense of humor, just consider [insert person, humanity, the platypus, or other ridiculous thing].” But God’s laughter is a serious matter: serious enough to talk (and laugh) about.
This edition of Brewed Theology explores humor and laughter. Hopefully, it brings laughter to your tables and discussions as you discuss what makes you laugh, why laughter exists, the role of humor in worship, faith, and scripture, and the benefits of mirth in our life on earth.
