WHY ARE WE WRITING ABOUT IT?
When Brewed Theology surveyed leaders using our resources for new topic suggestions, “What Is Woke?” emerged as a top choice. While other charged political issues now dominate our news feeds, “woke” still appears in political articles and speeches—even if its use in soundbites has decreased significantly. On a deeper level, however, the background work we did to bring this topic to print highlighted the importance of having an open conversation about it. The topic is way more than slogans used to stir up culture wars.
