Catching Up With Council January 2021

The Faith Church Council met virtually on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, for the regularly scheduled monthly meeting. Old and New Business topics included:

• Upon recommendation from the Finance Committee, the Council approved an operating budget for 2021.
  • The budget is available for review on the church website 
  • The budget will be discussed during worship on January 24.
  • If there are any questions, please reach out to the church office and you will be put in contact with Joyce Getchell, Larry Tietje, or Jennifer Tolzmann.
  • The budget will be reviewed periodically and adjusted as necessary, with Council approval.
• Reviewed plans to present 2020 year-end information to the congregation on January 24 during worship, as well as through the Annual Report referenced above.
• Reviewed the Advent and Christmas worship opportunities
  • Council thanks ALL involved in providing high quality, meaningful worship experiences for the community.
• Completed portions of the 2020 Congregational Report to submit to the Synod Office.
• Discussed ongoing COVID-19 related issues, including the possibility of some small group Confirmation meetings following the schedule of in-person school schedules.

The Council continues with an “attitude of gratitude” for the congregational and community financial support, prayers, and outreach to neighbors in need. It’s a new year and we look forward to working together with hearts devoted to service, compassion and kindness. Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!
