On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, the Faith Church Council met in person to conduct the monthly business of the church and share information. The devotion was based on Luke 12: 27-34 and we spent time sharing where we found ourselves worn out, how God’s love and presence provide strength, and how we might lighten the burden of others. We also shared a time of prayer for identified needs. Discussion points for the night included:
  • Informal review of financial statements. We will officially accept financial reports for February and March during our April meeting.
  • Updates on the search for a business administrator, Faith’s work with the Liberating Structuresprocess, and the Circle of Welcome family Faith is supporting.
  • Reminders of the Synod Assembly meeting May 13-14 at St. Andrew’s in Mahtomedi. Any interested individuals please contact the church office.
  • Plans for Easter worship.

Council is grateful to all of the volunteers who take part in phone calling and card writing for members who need some personal communication. We are also grateful to our talented staff for the ways they juggle a variety of responsibilities with grace and enthusiasm. Thank you to all involved with planning and carrying out the Lenten activities: worship services, lunches, and prayer stations. Faith is an awesome hub of activity and thought.

The Council will next meet on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
