Faith Feeds Our Neighbor Begins Collecting Produce
We will begin collecting fresh-grown produce on Wednesday, July 13 for our Faith Feeds Our Neighbor project.
All produce will be donated to neighbors through Community Helping Hand. Bring your herbs, veggies or fruit on Wednesdays from noon – 1 pm at Door 1. If you need to drop-off early (i.e. before work), you may leave produce outside or on the table earlier on Wednesdays.
If you don’t have a green thumb and still want to join us – we are requesting donations of purchased potatoes or sweet corn and sturdy boxes to transport donations.
We are looking for team members who are willing to volunteer Wednesdays noon – 1:15 to help collect and weigh donations and Thursdays 9 - 9:45 am to load and deliver the donations. Please contact Karen Forsythe ( ) or sign up online here. This is really a fun volunteer opportunity and great for kids to help! We are also collecting sturdy produce boxes to transport donations, which can be dropped off in the church office anytime.
We will keep track of donations by weight and type. We have set a goal to share more than 2000 pounds this year! Please invite others into this generosity – join us in feeding our neighbors here in our community.
