Faith Feeds our Neighbor Grant

Posted by Deacon Nina Joygaard on June 02, 2020

Faith Lutheran received an ELCA Hunger Grant in response to Covid-19 and are asking YOU to be our partners in generosity.  We used the funds received to purchase tomato and pepper plants and give them away. We still have some left, so contact Deacon Nina if you would like to adopt one. No gardening experience necessary – instructions provided by seasoned gardeners!

We are encouraging folks who have adopted one of these named plants (mine are Salome & Ephraim) to share their journey, growth, and adventures with us. You can either email photos or stories to Deacon Nina or share on social media with #FaithFeedsOurNeighbor.

Whether you received a plant from us or not, we are asking our friends and neighbors to share the bounty of their gardens by dropping off produce each week at Faith! All donated produce will go to families experiencing food insecurity locally.  In this way, we can generously share the exponential growth of our plants!

More team members are needed for weekly collection and delivery. Contact Deacon Nina if you’d like to join our team! .
