Making Sense of the Cross Book Study

The cross is at the heart of the Christian faith. We see it everywhere in church and even wear it as jewelry.  But what does it mean? What does it mean that Jesus died on the cross?  Why is an instrument of torture and death a symbol of life?

Pastor John Klawiter leads a two-part book study on the book Making Sense of the Cross by David Lose.  In the book a conversation ensues that elicits questions like: So what’s with the cross? What does the cross say about God? What’s the big deal? Did Jesus have to die?

The study takes place on February 17 and 24 in the chapel.  The book is available for purchase in the church office for $5 each.
