The mission of our group is to serve beyond the walls of our Faith community and identify local, national and world-wide mission efforts and guide the distribution of financial and human resources on behalf of Faith Lutheran.

All gifts received for the efforts are voluntary, non-budgeted contributions. Typically, these contributions amount to about $20,000 annually and fund 15 to 17 projects. Individuals from Faith have been generous over the years in contributing financially to projects and have taken seriously Christ’s command “to preach the gospel to all nations.”

The activities Faith has supported, via this Committee, range from well drilling and scholarship funding in Kidabaga, Tanzania, to supporting the efforts of missionaries, Patrick and Jackie Benecke in Japan. Each time the Committee meets we engage in interesting discussions concerning: supporting agricultural efforts in Africa, the homeless in our midst; mission work in Haiti and other pressing needs.

Reaching out to touch the lives of those in need of Christ’s love is an honor and a privilege. New members and mission program suggestions are always welcome.
