When we held services on June 10, $100 bills were randomly distributed during worship. The “Faith $100 Challenge” encourages the congregation to live generously.
"We are hoping to create a culture of thinking generously about the needs of our community," said Pastor John. "In August, we'll hear back from the ten people and see how they creatively met a need or reached out in a way that they might not have thought of without the $100 challenge."
Faith encourages anyone who can afford to do so in the congregation to consider doing the challenge with their own money if they didn't receive the $100 in worship.
"We want our church to constantly look for opportunities to meet the needs of our community," said Pastor John.
Ten recipients have until August 12 to find a way, using their $100 gift, to share God’s grace and love beyond the walls of Faith Lutheran Church.
