Blessing with Quilts
In June we launched the Faith $100 challenge. 10 people received $100 during worship and were invited to live generously with the additional gift.
Here is an update from $100 recipient, Linda Hackl
"My brother recently died. He never communicated with his siblings that he was homeless. When we heard of his death were were shocked, learning he'd been living on the street and in homeless shelters.
I know (Faith member) Diane Zak and her quilters. She approached me with the idea of purchasing batting and backing for quilts being made for the new Hugo Family Shelter. I used some of the $100 to purchase quilting materials. The rest I gave as a donation to the shelter. This serves as a memorial to my brother, Gordy.
I am also on the volunteer list for the shelter.
