Faith Ministry Stories

Deacon's Dispatch- March 4, 2021

Posted by Deacon Nina Joygaard on

Blessings of peace to you as we begin our Lenten journey together. Thank you so much for your generous and continued support of our shared ministry at Faith Lutheran. Your time, passion, and financial gifts are what make Faith such a powerful witness of God’s love. I am continually humbled by your generosity, inspired by your care for one another, and grateful to be on the journey of faith alongside you. We heard incredible feedback about why friends like you continue to make an intentional contribution to our congregation.

"Faith Lutheran Church has helped me renew my relationship with God and I feel the need to help others in the same way. Even though we are miles apart, I feel blessed by the online services I attend every week. Thank you!"

“God’s love remains constant at Faith. We feel it. Praise the Lord for keeping us connected.”

“Especially in this time of social unrest and a pandemic, the church is a place to turn for reassurance and peace. By supporting the ministries at Faith, we hope the church can continue to flourish and be that reassurance for others.”

We are so excited for the year ahead. Because of your gifts to Faith, we are moving forward in ministry together. This year we are strengthening our communication methods. We continue to use streaming, video, digital formats, radio, and social media to share the good news of Jesus. Through these approaches, all are invited into a deeper relationship with God and into meaningful service in the community. We are increasing our congregational benevolence, giving away 40% more to our partners in caring for God’s children. We will keep worshipping God, witnessing to God’s love in the world, and caring deeply for our neighbors near and far.

Please join us for streaming or in-person (with restrictions) worship during this season of Lent. We will be studying the Lord’s Prayer at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays (streaming only) and doing a Living Out Our Faith series on Sundays at 9 and 10:30 am. Lenten prayer and devotional resources are also available on our website. May your Lenten journey open your heart to Christ.

In God’s great love,
