Faith Lends A Hand
Faith has recently been made aware of a Forest Lake family of 7 (Mom and 6 children) who were evicted from their apartment and are awaiting relocation to a home in the Twin Cities area. This family is in need of clothing and gift cards for shopping and gas. Two of the children are involved in multiple health appointments. Housing in Chaska has been arranged but is not available until later this month.
After Pastor John's sermon on Sunday, July 10, monetary donations already helped to purchase bedding and other household needs for the family. Thank you, Faith!
Faith has set up a SignUpGenius listing (linked here) where you can identify clothing, household goods, or gift cards that you can contribute to this drive. There is a box near the entrance at Door 1 where materials can be dropped off. If you choose to donate a gift card, please place it in a sealed envelope and write Faith Lends a Hand on the outside. Leave that in the secure drop box located outside the main office window, next to the display case. The SignUpGenius is now open and will remain open until July 24. If you would prefer to donate money, you can do so online through Simply Giving or drop off a check in the office and designate your donation to Faith Lends a Hand. We are also looking for volunteers who may be able to deliver materials, including a table and chairs, to the home in Chaska when the family is able to move.
