Immunization is one of the most significant achievements of the 20^th Century. Vaccines have eliminated or eradicated small pox and polio in the U.S. They have also reduced the number of cases of measles, diphtheria, rubella, pertussis and others.

Today, I am writing about the importance of the flu vaccine. There are many different strains of viruses that can cause the flu. We worry about what the flu can develop into. One of the things is pneumonia. It is most dangerous in young children and 65 years and older adults.

We are offering flu shots to be given by Walgreen's Pharmacy on Sundays, October 8 and 22, 8:30 to 11:00. Bring your insurance cards with you. Protect yourself and others.
