Dear Faith Lutheran Supporters,
It’s been a few weeks, but I can still feel the energy of our Christmas Eve worship services! By the end of the night, I had the pleasure of delivering the flame for Silent Night to the choir. Looking out over our full sanctuary filling with light from our individual candles gave me goosebumps. We are the body of Christ and God has exciting mission work in store for us this year.
This is work that happens year-round. In the fall, Faith Lutheran engaged in an extended stewardship series about where God intersects our lives as stewards that go well beyond money. How does our money help lead us in mission? As a congregation, our new goals for 2019 help us be better stewards of our world:
- Fully fund senior ministry
- Fully fund adult ministry
- Establish camp grants
- Deeper resource investment in the 10:30 worship service
What do each of these have in common? An emphasis on relationships. Deepening faith. Opportunities for ALL ages to go further in faith by providing tangible ways to experience the abundant life offered through a relationship with our living God and nurtured by the Holy Spirit!
We are seeing the fruits of that “ask. Our 2019 budget reflects these goals and aligns resources with our newly articulated mission to Be the body of Christ: welcoming all, inspired by God, and sent out to live our Faith.
Thank you for your financial gifts—because of your money, Faith can live out our mission. Thank you for continuing to show how we are the body of Christ in action. I can’t wait to see how this continued investment pays dividends for the future of our congregation!
