Ministry is vibrant at Faith, even as we remain physically distant. We celebrate God's Spirit leading us this past week.

We did it - we managed to surprise Pastor John on Sunday for his birthday.  Thanks to everyone who emailed birthday wish photos for the slideshow and who mailed or dropped off birthday cards.  Some of you happened to stop by the office when Pastor John was here. It was great fun to watch you think on your feet and come up with creative excuses while secretly handing over birthday cards.  Way to keep a secret, church!

Wow, Faith!!! Thank you so much for the birthday surprise this Sunday as I turn 40! I’m blown away by all of the cards (some of you have quite the sense of humor), the pictures you submitted, and the Facebook messages. The video on Sunday was so much fun for me to see your faces and creativity in making signs. I’m grateful for all of you and blessed by your thoughtfulness to take the time to reach out (and to miraculously keep it a secret!!!)

May 27th was our last night of Confirmation for the year. We celebrate how students and guides continued interacting and participating through Word on the Street, phone calls, Zoom meetings, and completing on-line sermon notes. We had such a positive response from the wider congregation to our mid-week services that we are going to continue livestreaming on Wednesdays at 6:30 throughout June.

Virtual Prayer Lab on Sunday was a terrific success with 11 people participating via Zoom. A discussion about "The Hidden Grief of COVID-19," enhanced participants ability to see and feel God at work amidst anxiety, worry, pain, fear, isolation and grief.  Prayer Lab will continue to meet virtually twice monthly on Sunday mornings at 10. All are welcome!
