Shoes keep coming in!

Posted by Faith Lutheran Staff on August 19, 2020

Faith ministry continues, even as we remain physically distant. We celebrate God's Spirit leading us this past week.

Shoes keep coming in! Thank you for your donations for Walking With A Purpose to provide "colder weather" footwear for friends experiencing homelessness. Volunteers (thank you Diane Joslyn and Jeanette Hahn) are making weekly deliveries throughout August. Pictured is just some of the new and gently used shoes and boots you have generously donated.

We celebrate the creative continuation of ministry during pandemic. Manna Paks (care packages to share with those asking for help alongside the road) are back with contactless payment and pick-up options.  Thank you, Jill and Bill Somrock, for leading this ministry to share Christ's love.

Our dedicated volunteers continue to make in-person worship (with restrictions) welcoming and safe for those who choose to attend. We are especially grateful for Katelyn McNamara, Dan and Karen Forsythe, Don Steinke and Jennifer Tolzmann for their on-going commitment and faithfulness.

A non-gardening Faith member found a creative way to support Faith Feeds our Neighbor. This donor learns what is most needed at the food shelf, orders those items from local farmers and delivers the produce to Faith on Wednesdays.  To date we have collected 449 pounds of produce, all donated to Community Helping Hand.  Faith gardeners AND non-gardeners are amazing!

As you witness ministry happening in your home or neighborhood, or as you share God's grace with others, let us know so we can celebrate with you! Email
