Sacred Settlement in the News
Hey, you may have heard or seen Faith in the news recently. At our annual meeting in January, we voted to enter a Development Phase of a potential Sacred Settlement of tiny homes on our church grounds.
Each reporter latched on to different parts of the story and gave their own twist. To reiterate, this is not a "done deal." We agreed to explore creating a tiny house community. The Development Team is digging into how and if this will work in our Faith context. We have a ways to go, but phenomenal energy and enthusiasm to move forward.
The generous coverage has spread this story nationally. We’ve received letters and messages from people across Minnesota and the US offering to help. We have followed up with organizations, congregations, and individuals about financial support (trust me, there are generous people who are interested in what the Holy Spirit is up to with this project).
Below is a list of new coverage from the last few weeks. If you hear questions about the process or want to know more about how you can help, the Development Team would love to hear from you. Please reach out to them at I’ve also seen MANY of you redirect misinformation on social media. Thank you for intervening and offering accurate information. We know that this is a tremendous endeavor, but we are being led by the Spirit to share God’s grace. That makes this journey totally worth it!
